Each participant received a green Adapt folder with a printout of the bus schedule, Metro literature, a review sheet and an instruction slip.
The trip began with a ride on bus 13 (north) at 1:37 p.m. After crossing the street no less than four times, it was determined that the north bus stop was on the Marchetti Apartments (east) side of Grand Boulevard. Members took this route down Lindell Boulevard and switched to route 93 at the Central West End bus depot, just off of Forest Park Parkway by Barnes Jewish Hospital. This bus took the group across Highway 40/64 and south past the Missouri Botanical Gardens, down Shaw and into The Hill. After a short walk, the Italian Club and Co. reached Amighetti's at 5141 Wilson.
The group reversed directions for the trip home, waiting for the 93 at Shaw and Hereford, then catching the 13 at the CWE bus depot just after 4:00 p.m. The journey was completed by approximately 4:30 p.m.

Summary
The weather was fine, the bus transfer seamless and the fare relatively cheap: $2.25 (exact change) for a two-hour transfer pass. The journey to the restaurant lasted approximately 35 minutes--plenty of time for chatter, socializing and a few new words in Italian! The only potential blunder came in reversing directions for the way home ... since transfer passes last for two hours, we nearly missed the 4:00 deadline. It would have been possible to catch the MetroLink back to SLU, but since the group was only one stop away from SLU's Grand stop, it was more practical to wait.

You are so efficient! With folders and everything! We should have a joint MoPIR-Adapt excursion to the zoo after election day for a celebration of Prop M passing (keeping my fingers crossed).
